Programmable Web : Most Popular Mashups

I have nothing but deep hatred for the term "mashup." With that said, the ProgrammableWeb blog has a nice summary of the most popular mashups based on votes and visits (or something).

Is it for the term itself, or the misuse of the term? Mashups in referring to music are ok (and I love hearing new ones); in reference to technology it kind of annoys me for some reason. One term for two separate things confuses me... not good.
