I have to say, I’m hating cruft on Web pages these days. Compfight cuts all the nonsense out of a Flickr search and boils it down to what makes Flickr so great: the damn pictures.

hopefully since "cruft" has become is now a notable interaction pattern, some of the big boys will take notice. after all, just because you can create a feature, doesn't mean you should!
